AFIELD

prosody             between

                 sheets       the wind

shooting spring                     a hurried window

                 shines its panes

refracting

                 forever

                         the light

                 birds         the whir
                      of which
                                    whistles

their sounds keening
            to a still
                       point

      thin throat                freezing

                  out

the open door
