Death Rends for the Scarecrow

we are spiders in a toilet

suffocating mouth full of sugar skulls

attending the corporal punishment party

awkwardly carrying the vegetable tray

this is my life to live incorrectly

I touch all the food in your refrigerator

I construct guns from the bones of my hands

I get grand mal at dinner parties

where the bibles are provided

my face is anthropomorphism of name droppings

my girlfriend’s name is Cheeseburger

we are hitching a ride

on this sudden dreamboat

I call out to you, Shrimp Scampi,

save me from this goblin life

flying over this ocean

slipping sick, separately alone

a sacrificial lamb I throw myself

in front of the beverage cart

earning my sobriety coins

on my eyes
